Investigation launches after house fire in Bircotes
A number of properties were evacuated following the blaze last night

Investigations have now begun after crews worked late into the night tackling a blaze in Bircotes.
They were called out to the scene just before 8 o'clock last night (March 4) with staff from 5 stations attending the scene at the property.
On social media, they say the blaze was out at just after 11pm - thanks to the aerial ladder putting the fire out through the roof.
A number of neighbouring properties were evacuated following the blaze, and it has been confirmed that no one has been injured.
Police and fire officers are currently at the scene and intend to be there for most of the day while an investigation takes place.
They apologise for any inconvenience this might cause residents living in the area.
Officers are asking for any members of the public with any information about the incident or have Dam Cam or CCTV footage to get in touch by ringing 101 quoting incident number 693 of 4 March 2023.
