Investigation launched following stabbing in Leicester
A man was found with knife injuries in the Beaumont Leys area of the city.
An investigation is underway after a man was found with stab wounds in the area of Glovers Walk, Beaumont Leys, Leicester, this morning (Wednesday).
Police were contacted by East Midlands Ambulance Service just after 9am, who were attending to the man.
The man, who is in his 20s, was taken to hospital.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
No arrests have been made but officers have stayed in the area carrying out enquiries.
A number of witnesses have been spoken out as part of of the investigation but officers are continuing to appeal to anyone with any information, who has not yet spoken to police, to make contact.
Detective Sergeant Jack Cornick said:
“We are appealing to anyone with any information to get in touch. We know a number of people were in the area this morning - please think back to if you saw anything which could help us, or anything which you may have seen or heard since.
“If you have any CCTV, doorbell footage or dashcam footage from the area, please also check this – this could also help us with our enquiries.
“Officers have been in the area today carrying out enquiries and offering reassurance. We understand the concern this incident may have caused in the local area. Please do continue to speak with us about your concerns and please be assured a full investigation remains ongoing to find the person or people responsible.”
