Forest ready to put everything on the line for Premier League glory
They'll play Huddersfield Town at Wembley today in the Championship play-off Final
Nottingham Forest are all set for one last battle in a bid for Premier League glory, having spent over two decades outside English football's top division.
They play Huddersfield Town at Wembley today (May 29th) at 16:30pm in the Championship Play-off Final.
The Reds were one of the favourites to progress through to the final after a first-leg play off victory away at Sheffield United - but the Blades proved to be much more of a test the second time around.
Forest fans everywhere could see their dreams collapsing before their eyes when the South Yorkshire team brought things back level on aggregate at the City Ground, but after an extraordinary penalty-saving display from Brice Samba, Forest booked themselves a spot at new Wembley for the first time in history.
Having become an established Championship club of late, Forest fans will know all they have to about the roulette of the play-offs - they no longer have their advantage of the City Ground, which proved to become nothing short of a fortress over the past year.
On the other hand, it's Huddersfield's second time playing in the play-off final at Wembley in the last 5 years - with their previous outing ending in promotion, giving the Terriers considerable experience over the Reds in the capital's iconic stadium.
But with the exceptional talent Forest possess in their squad and manager, fans can't help but feel like this might finally be the year the club gets back to where it belongs.
Having sold out their capacity days ago, over 30,000 optimistic Forest Fans will descend on Wembley Way on what will be a day filled with joy or heartache - can they go all the way?
