Food and Drink stolen by teenagers in Nottingham McDonald's
Around 50 youths piled into the Clumber Street restaurant.
Police are appealing for information after a group of around 50 youths stormed a McDonald's in Nottingham, and stole food and soft drinks.
Seven of the group, aged between 14-16 and dressed in tracksuit bottoms, hats and caps. jumped over the counter at the Clumber Street fast-food chain on Sunday, August 21, and started stealing the food that was being prepared in the kitchen.
They also helped themselves to soft drinks.
The other members of the group filmed it on their mobile phones.
Police said about 20 of the youths abused and threatened staff.
No arrests have been made but a police investigation is under way.
There were also reports that the group are congregating outside the Milton Street McDonald’s at around 10pm.
Nothing was taken from the Milton Street McDonald’s and the group had left the scene when police arrived.
A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Police said: “We are treating this incident very seriously. This is a commercial burglary as the group forced their way behind the counter of a business and stole food and soft drinks.
“It is completely unacceptable. No arrests have been made yet, but we will be working with the Clumber Street McDonald’s and carrying out CCTV inquiries to find those responsible.”
