East Midlands sports stars included in New Years Honours list
England goalkeeper Mary Earps, who's from Nottingham and Chesterfield's Millie Bright are among those receiving New Years Honours.
Bright has been made an OBE, while Earps has picked up a CBE for services to football.
Elsewhere Nottingham cricketer Stuart Borad has also been given a mention, he's getting a CBE.
Other names on the list include Game of Thrones actor Emilia Clarke, Singer Dame Shirley Bassey, who has sold more than 135 million records, is made Companion of Honour for her services to music.
Director and producer Sir Ridley Scott, whose works include Gladiator, Alien and Napoleon, is made a Knight Grand Cross, upgrading his previous knighthood, while author Jilly Cooper becomes a dame.
