A woman has had her handbag stolen during a suspected distraction burglary in Nottingham.

The 33-year-old victim was bowling at Tenpin Bowling, off Clifton Boulevard, when a man came over to her and started a conversation that lasted about 30 seconds.

Moments later, the woman and her partner realised her handbag was missing.

Following the incident on 10 December, three bank cards inside the handbag were used at shops in Beeston and Radford, including One Stop and KFC.

The thieves also tried to order an iPhone 15 pro max online but the sale declined.

Following inquiries, police have identified two men (pictured) who it is believed can assist the investigation.

PC Curtis Widdowson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“Distraction theft and the fraudulent use of bank cards are serious offences and we are determined to track down those responsible.

“We are keen to speak to the men in the images and I would ask them to come forward.

“I would also encourage anyone who recognises them to contact us on 101 quoting reference 23*763075.”
