Black smoke from fire at recycling centre in Ilkeston

Large plumes of black smoke is being spotted in Ilkeston as a recycling yard is on fire.

Derbyshire fire and rescue say they're on scene on Griffin Road, and have asked people to avoid the area.

In total six fire engines are in attendance supported by an aerial ladder platform and water carrier.

Also, due to smoke from the fire, people are urged to keep windows and doors closed if they're in the area.
