Police make arrest after man found lying in the road in Nottingham
A 48-year-old woman is being questioned
A 48 year old woman has been arrested after a collision in Nottingham.
Police were called to Mapperley Road at around 4am yesterday to reports of a man lying in the road.
The man, aged in his 20s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
Nottinghamshire Police launched an investigation and have since arrested a 48-year-old woman on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
Sergeant Mark Baker, of Nottinghamshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said:
“Officers have worked quickly and efficiently to trace the vehicle involved and the arrest is an important step in our investigation.
“However, we still want to hear from anyone with any information which could help with our inquiries.
“It is particularly important that anyone with relevant dashcam footage gets in touch with officers.”
