Nottingham Primark stabbing: 16 year old boy arrested

A teenager has been arrested over a stabbing at a busy shop in Nottingham city centre.

A 17 year old boy suffered a stab wound to the chest at the Primark store at around 11.30am this morning (Sunday 23rd February), in an attack which took place in front of shoppers inside the store.

He was initially reported as having suffered serious injuries, but we're now told he's not thought to be in a life-threatening condition.

A 16 year old boy is in custody on suspicion of causing grevious bodily harm.

Detective Inspector Paul Shortt, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“This was a shocking incident that will have caused considerable alarm to anyone who witnessed it

“A team of detectives has been working throughout the day to investigate this incident and we have now identified a suspect.”
