Arrest after a man assaulted in Stapleford pub

The victim in his 40s sustained a head injury

An arrest has been made after a man was reportedly assaulted in a pub in Stapleford.

Officers were called to Derby Road shortly after 1am on Saturday.

A man remains in hospital with a head injury.

A 46 year old is in custody on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.

Detective Sergeant Dave Smith, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“We’re carrying out inquiries into what happened in the early hours of this morning and would like to ask anyone who may have been in the area at the time to get in touch with us.”
