15 arrests made by Nottinghamshire Police during protest
Police across the country are condemning violence and disorder following riots sparked by the fatal stabbings of three girls in Southport on Monday

Nottinghamshire Police were aware of two protests planned to take place in Nottingham city centre yesterday, and said there would be a "robust police response" to any disorder.
Therefore, the locals saw an increased high-visibility police presence in Old Market Square, on transport routes, and within communities throughout the day.
"It simply will not be tolerated."
Nottinghamshire Police’s Deputy Chief Constable has praised the professionalism of officers and staff on duty during those protests.
Fifteen arrests were made during the protests.
DCC Steve Cooper said:
“I would like to thank the officers and staff who policed the event for their resilience, professionalism and skill, which ensured these protests remained largely peaceful.
“The vast majority of members of the public who attended protested in a peaceful manner.
“It should be repeated, however, that anyone who comes into the city or our neighbourhoods over the coming days to cause any kind of disorder can expect a robust response.”
