Searches are continuing in the River Soar in connection with a shooting in Leicester
Two men were hurt on Evington Road in the city last November
A seventh person has been arrested following a shooting in Evington Road in November last year.
The 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.
He has since been released on police bail.
Police had been called to Evington Road at 11.20pm on Wednesday 22 November last year following a report that two men had been shot as they walked along the road close to the junction with Chepstow Road, Leicester.
Both men were taken to hospital following the incident. They have since been discharged.
Four other men have previously been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the incident. A further two men have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder. The men have all been released on bail while enquiries continue.
On Monday (8 January), a specialist diving team began searching a section of the River Soar as part of the ongoing investigation. This pre-planned search remains ongoing in the water near Charles Bennion Walk, Leicester, and is being undertaken to identify any potential further evidence which may assist ongoing enquiries.
The towpath alongside currently remains closed at this time to members of the public - please find alternative routes.
