Three men charged after £40000 of cocaine found in Dumfries
Officers made the discovery when they stopped and searched a car on the A701 near Parkgate on Friday.
Officers have arrested and charged three men in Dumfries in connection with drugs offences.
They stopped a car on the A701 near Parkgate and found cocaine with a street value of around £40,000.
They also searched a house in Dumfries in connection with the recovery and further amounts of cocaine and cannabis were seized.
The men, aged 22, 23 and 37, will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal and appear in court at a later date.
Detective Inspector Graeme Robertson said: “This recovery highlights our efforts to disrupt the illegal and harmful supply of drugs in our communities.
"It also underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
