Police searching for missing Dumfries and Galloway man

Police in Dumfries and Galloway are searching for a missing 51 year old man.

Adrian “Ade” Knott was last seen around 11pm on Sunday 23 November at Gatehouse of Fleet.

He is described as being six-foot tall, with a grey beard and bald head, and wears black framed glasses with a nose ring and tattoos on both hands.

Officers say he is likely to be wearing a camouflage waterproof jacket and a brown fleece.

Police appeal

Constable Gavin Maxwell said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of Adrian and would ask if anyone knows his whereabouts to get in touch.

“His vehicle was traced at Knocktinkle, Gatehouse of Fleet and extensive searches are ongoing in the area.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3218 of 24 November 2025.”
