Police searching for two men following Dumfries assault

Police are searching for two men following a serious assault in Dumfries.

A 33-year-old man was attacked around 11.35pm on Tuesday, 25 February 2025, on Rosevale Street.

He was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Infirmary for treatment once emergency services arrived.

The two men have been described as wearing dark clothing.

Sergeant Ross Milligan said: “The man suffered a significant head injury as a result of the attack, and we are carrying out extensive enquiries to trace those responsible.

“We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was driving in the area at the time of the incident and may have dash-cam footage.

“If you were in the area at the time and have any information that could help, please contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 0001 of 26 February 2025.”
