Police appeal after two break ins at Dumfries homes

Police in Dumfries are appealing for information after two break-ins which they believe are connected.

The first happened at a house in Kirko Place at around 5.30pm on Friday 12 April when two men broke in and threatened the occupant, before making off with several personal belongings.

A second incident was also late on Friday afternoon, at a home on Rowan Drive.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward

Detective Sergeant Kirsty Beckett said police believe they are linked, adding: “We are urging anyone who noticed any suspicious activity, or a black Audi seen driving in this area on Friday afternoon to contact us.

“Anyone with dash-cam or personal footage is asked to check their devices and please get in touch if it captured anything that may be relevant to our investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 1538 of 13 April.
