The trial of a man accused of murdering Paul Taylor is due to begin today (Tuesday 1st October).

The remains of the 56-year-old from Annan were found in Finglandrigg Wood, off the B5307 outside Carlisle.

He'd last been seen in October 2023.

20-year-old Jack Crawley from Sheehan Crescent in Carlisle has denied murdering Paul and is set to go on trial at Carlisle Crown Court.

Marcus Goodfellow, also aged 20, from Greystone Road in Carlisle, denies assisting an offender.
