Newcastle man named as Motorcyclist killed in Dumfries and Galloway crash

A motorcyclist who died in a crash in Dumfries and Galloway has been named as 41-year-old Paul Armstrong from Newcastle upon Tyne.

He was part of a group of bikers travelling on the B723 between Annan and Eskdalemuir when he was involved in a collision near Boreland at around 2.30pm on Sunday 11 June.

No other vehicles were involved.

Emergency services attended, but Mr Armstrong was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation remains ongoing and anyone with information which has not yet been passed to police is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 2531 of 11 June, 2023.
