Record crowd to descend on Music Festival at the Crawick Multiverse
Big names are set to perform for the third year of 'Music at the Multiverse'
Ticket holders will be welcoming big-names to the stage at this years ‘Music at the Multiverse’ festival, at the Crawick Multiverse on Saturday the 2nd and Sunday the 3rd of September.
The two-day music festival is now in its third year at the 55-acre environmental artland near Sanquhar, bordering Dumfries and Galloway and Ayrshire.
With a predicted record crowd, organisers say the festival is establishing itself within the South of Scotland music scene.
Between acclaimed groups such as Scouting for Girls, and local acts including DJ Malcolm X from Kelloholm, it’s hoped attendees will have plenty to keep them entertained.
Sharon Glendinning, Crawick Multiverse General Manager, said: “We are delighted to build on the success of last year and to have such an amazing line-up of popular well-known acts and home-grown talent at our third Music at the Multiverse festival.
“As well as enjoying two days of live entertainment, visitors can also take time to explore and discover Crawick Multiverse and all that it has to offer. With giant spiral mounds representing colliding galaxies, a huge avenue of standing stones and other spectacular features, it is a unique festival venue and a great place to spend the weekend!”
Appetites will be catered for by local providers
As more local businesses and organisations get on board to back the festival, a fully licensed bar and locally-produced food will be available from The Tin Van Pizza, Knockenhair Hospitality and Sweet Sadie’s Ice Cream and Desserts.
To support increased demand for festival tickets, a private coach service will be running between Dumfries and Crawick on both weekend days.
Transport will leave Dumfries at 11am, and will stop in Thornhill before taking passengers to the festival site.
Return trips will leave the Multiverse at 7.30pm. Pre-booking is essential for anyone using this service, as is a valid festival ticket. Coach trips can be booked online.
Following high levels of interest, on-site car parking and motorhome pitches are now sold out.
