Motorcyclist who died near Moffat named

The lorry driver didn't require any medical treatment.

Police have named the motorcyclist killed in a crash with a lorry near Moffat last week.

61-year-old Iain Macrory was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision on the B7076 at around 4.25 pm on Wednesday 19 March.

The lorry driver did not need any medical treatment.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Sergeant Lloyd Caven said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Iain Macrory at this difficult time.

"Our enquiries are ongoing and I would again appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to contact us with any information. If you have dash-cam equipment, please check it for any footage which could assist our ongoing investigation."
