Missing pensioner from Newton Stewart found safe
John McVean, 79, has been reunited with his family

A 79 year old man reported missing from Newton Stewart has been found.
Police say John McVean was traced safe and well, and has been reunited with his family.
Concern was first raised after John didn’t return home from his daily walk on the 19th of July.
An appeal was put out to the public to report any possible sightings, with descriptions of his clothing and possible locations provided to assist the search.
The Police force has thanked the public for their support.
