Missing man from Moffat believed to be in Oban area
Police have been carrying out extensive enquiries to find him.
Officers are appealing to the public to help locate a 59-year-old missing man from Moffat.
Raymond Morrisey was last seen around Thursday, 26 June 2025, but wasn’t reported as missing to police until Tuesday, 15 July 2025.
After conducting extensive enquiries to locate him, officers believe he may be in the Oban area.
Morrisey is described as a man with a slim build, grey hair, and a goatee beard, standing around 5ft 5 inches tall.
The last confirmed sighting of him was at a local convenience store at the corner of Argyll Square and McGregor Court between 5.20pm and 5.30pm on Tuesday, 22 July 2025.
CCTV is being reviewed for additional information on where Morrisey may have gone.
Sergeant Dave Ware said, “We want to ensure Raymond is safe and well. He likes being in the outdoors and going for walks, but it’s out of character for him to be out of touch with people for this length of time, and I would ask anyone who may have seen Raymond or has any information as to where he may be to contact us.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting 1812 of 15 July 2025.
