Man arrested and charged after thefts in Stranraer
Suspect remanded in custody following Wednesday afternoon offences.
A man has been arrested and charged after a number of thefts in Stranraer on Wednesday afternoon (21 January 2026).
Officers say the offences happened between two and four o’clock, and the suspect was tracked down soon after, with help from the public.
He was remanded in custody at Stranraer Sheriff Court and will be sentenced at a later date.
