Moffat Mountain Rescue attend to injured walker

A walker has been stretchered off a hillside after suffering injury along the Annandale Way.

Moffat Mountain Rescue Team were called to action at 17:10 on Monday evening, when Police Scotland asked them to assist with the recovery.

Officers were able to locate the walker using ‘Phone Find’ technology, passing the location onto Moffat Mountain Rescue, who attended the scene with equipment to aid the rescue.

The casualty was assessed on the hillside, where pain relief was administered before the walker was safely carried out on a stretcher.

The rescue team were met by the Scottish Ambulance Service who took the individual to hospital.
