A 15-year-old boy gets hit by a car whilst using a pedestrian crossing in Dumfries

The teenager was making his way home from school.

Police are urging drivers to check dashcam footage after an incident involving a 15-year-old male being hit by a car on Brooms Road, Dumfries on Friday 10th January on his way home from school.

At around 3.20pm, the teenager was struck by a woman aged 50s and 60s in a Red Renault Clio when he was walking across the road at the pedestrian crossing near Glebe Street.

He suffered minor injuries.
