Cannabis with an estimated street value of approximately £190,000 has been seized in Dumfries and Galloway.

Officers stopped a car on the A74 on Saturday, 2 December, 2023, and a 41-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with drugs offences.

He is anticipated to appear at Dumfries Sheriff Court on Monday, 4 December, 2023.

Constable Ryan McGarvey said: “We will continue to use every tool and tactic at our disposal to prevent the sale and distribution of illegal drugs in our communities.

“Anyone with concerns about drugs and drug misuse should contact police on 101, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
