Two men arrested in connection with cooking oil theft
They have been released pending enquiries.
Two men, aged 18 and 25, were arrested earlier this morning after police stopped and searched their blue Ford Transit van in Dumfries and found stolen barrels of cooking oil inside.
They have been released pending further inquiries but officers are urging cafes and restaurants to check their stock.
Initial enquiries have identified numerous hospitality businesses that the barrels belonged to.
