Biker dies in Moffat crash
The collision with the lorry happened on Wednesday afternoon
A motorcyclist has died in a crash with a lorry in Moffat.
It happened on the B7076 road around 4.25pm on Wednesday near the junction to Newton Wamphray.
The 61-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road reopened around 11.30pm on Wednesday.
Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage.
Sergeant Lloyd Caven said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died.
“Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.
“We also ask anyone driving in the area at the time with dashcam footage to come forward.”
