The lockdown 'stay at home' message still isn't getting across to some young people in Weymouth and Portland.

Police were called to an abandoned building near The Ferrybridge Inn yesterday afternoon after reports of anti-social behaviour.

They found 6 young people who were searched for drugs.

A spokesman for Weymouth & Portland Police said:

"A quantity of cannabis was located during the search. The group have been dispersed and we will be following this up with the assistance of our partner agencies."

Youths have also been gathering at a disused quarry opposite Penn Castle on Portland.

Police say they'll be stepping up patrols in the area.
