Woman left with serious eye injury after assault in Bournemouth

A woman has been left with a serious eye injury after being assaulted by a man in Bournemouth.

She was found in the car park at Richmond Gardens in the early hours of Saturday morning. (24 September)

Dorset Police say it was reported that the woman, aged in her 30s, had been assaulted by a man who was known to her.

The woman was taken to hospital for treatment to a serious injury to her eye.

Detective Constable Philip Riggs, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this assault and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened, or who has any information that might assist our investigation, to please make contact with us.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
