Woman rescued after getting stuck in mud near remote Dorset Cove

Firefighters from Wareham and Swanage found her trapped in mud up to her knees

A woman's been rescued after getting stuck in mud near a remote Dorset cove.

Fire crews from Swanage and Wareham were called to an area near Chapman's Pool yesterday afternoon.

The woman was trapped up to her knees in mud.

A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service said:

"Crews got in attendance and confirmed one female trapped up to her knees in mud, technical rescue teams set up their high pressure lance system to release the individual.

"The individual was successfully released and fortunately was uninjured."
