Woman rescued from house fire in Weymouth

A woman's been rescued from a house fire in Weymouth.

Three crews were called to Bradford Road at 7.20pm last night. (8 February)

The fire started in the kitchen.

Firefighters led a woman to safety, who was looked after by the ambulance service.

A spokesperson for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said:

"In attendance crews confirmed a fire confined to a frying pan in the kitchen, one female occupant was rescued from the smoke logged property and passed to the care of the ambulance service.

"Two breathing apparatus wearers using a hose reel jet extinguished the fire and made safe."
