A woman's been rescued after getting stuck on a cliff edge near Bridport.

Technical rescue crews from Weymouth and Portland along with a fire engine from Bridport were called to Eype late yesterday afternoon.

West Bay Coastguard also attended, along with the police and ambulance service.

A spokesperson for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service told Greatest Hits Radio Dorset:

"The crews used rope rescue equipment to bring the casualty to safety and handed her over to the ambulance service.

"The coast path was closed between Eype and Chideock for a period of time due to the amount of vehicles and people in that area."
