UPDATED: Woman, 18, 'life-threatening injuries' following crash in Poole

Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious crash in Poole.

An 18 year old woman is in hospital with life threatening injuries following the collision involving a blue Ford Fiesta at the Mannings Heath Roundabout just after 5am this morning.

A local man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of a driving offence and is assisting officers with their enquiries.

Following further enquiries, a man from Surrey aged in his 20s was also arrested on suspicion of driving offences and is also assisting with enquiries.

Road closures have been put in place to allow the emergency services to respond to the incident and for an examination of the scene to take place.

Police Appeal

Sergeant Mark Scammell, of the traffic unit said: “We are carrying out an investigation to establish the full circumstances of this collision. I would urge any witnesses to the incident, or the manner of driving prior to the collision, to please contact us.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured anything on dashcam that might assist our enquiries.

“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding while the closures are in place.”
