Woman in hospital after crash between car and pedestrian near Dorchester
A section of the A35 near Kingston Pond has been closed

A woman in her 70s from Poole has been taken to hospital after being seriously injured in a crash between a car and a pedestrian.
Police were called just before 2pm to reports of a crash on the A35 near Kingston Pond in Dorchester.
Dorset Police say officers are in attendance with the ambulance service.
The road is currently closed in both directions between the Stinsford roundabout and the Northbrook junction to allow emergency services to attend the scene.
There's also a road closure on Bockhampton Lane.
Police are asking for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.
No arrests have been made.
