Woman 'grabbed round the neck' during Weymouth assault

A man has been arrested in connection with the incident

A woman's allegedly been 'grabbed round the neck' by a man during an assault in a Weymouth pub.

The attack happened just after 10.00pm on Saturday night (22nd July), in the Kings Arms in Trinity Road.

Dorset Police attended and arrested a 35 year old man from Bournemouth on suspicion of intentional strangulation.

He's since been released on bail while enquiries continue.

PC Robert Langridge, of Dorset Police, said:

“We are continuing to investigate this incident and I am appealing to anyone who was in the pub at the time and has information to help my enquiries to please get in touch.”
