Woman in her 80s dies following Boscombe collision

The victim's passed away in hospital a month after the incident

A woman in her 80s has died after being involved in a collision in Boscombe a month before.

The victim, who was a pedestrian, was struck by a motorcycle near to the junction of Haviland Road and Ashley Road just before 1.00pm on Sunday 26th February.

She was taken to hospital with injuries that weren't initially thought to be life-threatening.

But her condition deteriorate and she passed away in hospital on Tuesday last week (28th March).

Her family has been informed.

Dorset Police are now renewing their appeal for information into the collision.

PC Tracey Downer, of the traffic unit, said:

“Our thoughts are with the family of the woman who has sadly died following this collision.

“We will continue to carry out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of what happened, and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please contact us.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured anything relevant on dashcam footage.”
