Investigation launched after woman dies after falling from cliffs near Durdle Door

Police say they're conducting enquiries after the tragic incident

An investigation has been launched after a woman died after falling from a cliff at Durdle Door near Lulworth.

Emergency services were called to the scene, just after 3pm yesterday afternoon. (14 June)

The woman in her 40's and said to be from the West Midlands area was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police told Greatest Hits Radio Dorset:

"Sadly, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Officers are supporting her next of kin and will be conducting enquiries following this tragic incident on behalf of HM Coroner.

"There were no suspicious circumstances."
