Woman cut from car following East Dorset crash

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of a driving offence

A woman in her 40s has had to be cut out of her car following a collision in East Dorset.

A red Ford Fiesta was involved in the crash on the B3078 Cranborne Road, near the Horton Inn, just before 3.00pm on Wednesday (3rd May).

Firefighters helped to free the woman, and she was taken to hospital for treatment.

Her injuries aren't believed to be life-threatening.

An 18 year old man from Poole was arrested at the scene, on suspicion of a driving offence.

PC Tom Pocock, of Dorset Police, said:

“We are conducting enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision and I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident to please come forward.

“I am particularly keen to speak to a man in a black T-shirt who assisted the injured woman at the scene as he may have information to assist our investigation.

“Finally, I would also urge anyone who was driving in the area with dashcam fitted to their vehicle to please check their footage for anything of relevance.”
