Woman assaulted in Bridport
One woman's been arrested but investigations are ongoing
A woman in her 20s has been assaulted in Bridport - with one woman arrested in connection with the incident.
The victim was walking along St Swithuns Road between 2.00 and 2.10pm on Wednesday 23rd February when a car drove towards her and pushed her into a fence.
A female driver then got out and allegedly assaulted her.
She suffered bruising to her hip and a serious injury to the area around her eye that needed medical treatment.
A 20 year old woman from Bridport has been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Detective Constable Kate Rhodes, of Dorset County CID, said:
“I am appealing to anyone in the vicinity who witnessed what happened to please come forward.
“I am particularly keen to speak to two men who were in the area at the time as they may have important information to help our enquiries. One of the men was walking a dog.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam or on a helmet camera."
