'Road rage' incident in Weymouth following moped crash

A moped rider's been assaulted in a suspected road rage incident in Weymouth.

Dorset Police tell us this followed a collision on Westham Road at around 2.55pm on Saturday 19th November.

It's alleged a moped rider kicked the front side of a car while passing by, before falling off and colliding with a stationary parked vehicle.

Both the kicked and stationary cars suffered damage.

After the collision, the car driver is reported to have assaulted the rider, injuring his nose.

PC Nathan Busby, of Weymouth police, said:

“I am carrying out enquiries to establish exactly what happened during this incident.

“I would ask anyone who was in the area and saw what happened, or the moments leading up to it, to please come forward.

“Also, I am keen to hear from any motorists who were travelling in the area and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
