PICTURES: Weymouth navy veteran wins 'Pub Shed of the Year'

A Weymouth navy veteran has taken the prize for the UK's best Pub Shed.

Iain Weetman's homemade bar in his back garden has pumps from the HMS Ark Royal that were donated after the ship was scrapped.

In the last eleven years it's been used to host bands rehearsals, birthdays and even charity events.

Iain Weetman told Greatest Hits Radio Dorset, he's pleased the pub is getting recognition.

"When I designed it I wanted that balance of memorabilia, plenty of woodwork, brasses to have that traditional looking pub. Somewhere quite inviting to go and have a pint in.

"I bought the shed as a kit, then all the internal fittings I built and designed myself. So it's the actual outside shell that was bought and I did all the woodwork and carpentry inside myself.
