Who should light up Weymouth's Jubilee Clock this year?
The Town Council's opened up nominations
Weymouth's Jubilee Clock tower is to be lit up in different colours to honour local charities once again during 2023.
But the Town Council wants to hear which causes we'd like to see recognised.
Nominations have been opened to suggest organisations that the lights could best represent.
Last year, the clock was lit up for causes like the Weymouth Street Pastors, MYTIME Young Carers, Dorset Mind and the Weymouth and Portland Scouts, amongst others.
The closing date to put forward a charity is Monday 23rd January.
Mayor, Cllr Ann Weaving, said:
“Please get your nominations in and tell us which local charity or organisation you would like us to raise awareness of by lighting up the Jubilee Clock. It’s one of Weymouth’s most recognisable landmarks and I am looking forward to sitting on the panel to see the range of suggestions which come forward.”
You can put forward a charity on a dedicated Weymouth Town Council survey.
