Weymouth businesses urged to get Covid-safe stamp of approval
The 'We're Good to Go' scheme aims to give confidence to customers to shop on Weymouth high street when lockdown's lifted

Weymouth's Town Centre Multi-Agency Management Group are working to promote the Visit Britain 'We're Good to Go' scheme to local businesses.
It's free for them to sign up to the scheme and to get the 'We're Good To Go' COVID-19 industry standard and consumer mark.
To be awarded the official mark, businesses must:
- Read and implement the government's COVID-19 reopening guidance
- Understand the guidance from Public Health England
- Have a COVID-19 Risk Assessment in place
The 'We're Good to Go' mark will show residents and visitors that businesses are operating safely and help to provide reassurance as the country progresses through the government's roadmap out of lockdown.
Cllr Colin Huckle, Chair of the Weymouth Town Centre Management Group, said:
"We want to assure residents and visitors to Weymouth that it is safe to return to the high street as lockdown restrictions are lifted over the coming months. We know our local businesses will be working hard to get ready to welcome back customers.
"We hope signing up to the scheme will help them with this and give customers confidence in supporting their local shops and hospitality businesses".
Weymouth's Town Centre Multi-Agency Management Group meet regularly throughout the year to discuss issues and ideas to support Weymouth's high street.
The group is made up of partners including Weymouth Town Council, Dorset Council, Weymouth BID and Weymouth and Portland Chamber of Commerce.
