Bridport Police issue warning not to jump from harbour walls into the sea
One person has been injured in Lyme Regis
One person has been injured after jumping from the Harbour Walls into the sea at Lyme Regis.
Police have visited The Cobb to give safety advice to groups of youths in the area.
A spokesperson for Bridport Police said:
"Police and other services are concerned about this activity as jumping from height into the sea is always dangerous as jumpers often overlook how deep the water is and what is lurking beneath the surface such as rocks and other debris and these can cause severe injury.
"Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs are likely to increase these risks as their judgement is likely to be impaired."
