A Vigil for Ukraine is being held in Weymouth tonight.

Weymouth Town Council are asking people to meet at the Jubilee clock from 6pm to 7pm.

They say the quiet period of reflection will allow communities to come together to show solidarity with the people of Ukraine.

A spokesperson for Weymouth Town Council said:

" Everyone is invited to attend and we are encouraging people to walk or catch public transport. Please ensure you take any candles and other items homes with you. These should not be left at the Jubilee Clock after 7pm. Thank you."

Weymouth Pavilion is also showing its support for the people of Ukraine, with the building being lit up in blue and yellow.
