Victim comes forward following Weymouth Town Quay

The male rider of a moped was pushed by a man while driving

Police in Weymouth say the victim of an assault at Weymouth's Town Quay has now come forward to speak to officers.

Officers were called to the junction of North Quay and Westwey Road at around 1.00pm on Monday night (4th September).

A man was reportedly stood in front of oncoming traffic and pushed the rider of a moped as he was driving past.

The rider luckily managed to keep control and swerved away to continue his journey.

A 33 year old man from Somerset arrested on suspicion of assault.

He's since been released on bail while enquiries continue.
