Undead return to Nothe Fort for Halloween
The Nothe of the Living Dead is back after a year's hiatus.

Zombie hordes are descending on the Nothe Fort again this Halloween.
The Nothe of the Living Dead was cancelled last year because of the coronavirus pandemic.
This year there are over 100 volunteers helping out to deliver one of the most frightening events Weymouth's got on offer.
The event runs for two days on the 29th and 30th of October.
Participants will have to make their way through the infested underbelly of the Nothe Fort, grab the vaccine and get out.
Proceeds from the even will go towards three local groups, Island Community Action (Portland), Epic Games Dorset and the Nothe Fort.
There are no age restrictions on taking part, although organisers say it's not for the faint of heart. They promise anyone who does take part will get a real thrill from the experience.
Mary-Anne Edwards, Nothe Fort’s General Manager, said:
“With a history of paranormal activity and a labyrinth of spooky underground passageways, the Nothe Fort is the perfect venue in which to pull out all the stops and deliver a truly terrifying Halloween event. Of course, we’ve always known the Fort was famous for its ghosts, but zombies offer that extra scare factor. As a local charity, we’re also keen to collaborate with other community organisations. In fact, what makes Nothe of the Living Dead so special is that we’re not only offering a great experience, we are also raising funds for three really worthwhile causes.”
Emma Mason from Epic Games Dorset said:
"It's really interesting, if you could just sit back and watch it from a human perspective, it's fantastically fascinating to watch how people start interacting with people they don't know.
"I think it's a real confidence booster, people who normally don't see themselves as leaders suddenly rise up to challenges they wouldn't normally do."
Each session lasts around 40 minutes and participants will be offered a mask on arrival.
