Two people taken to hospital after gas leak in West Dorset

Fire crews from Bridport were called to a reported gas leak in Bothenhampton last night

Two people have been taken to hospital after a gas leak at a property in West Dorset.

Two fire crews from Bridport were called to Bothenhampton last night.

The two casualties had suffered effects from breathing in the gas.

A spokesperson for Bridport Fire Station said:

"Ambulance were on scene and had started to ventilate the property. Two casualties were treated on scene and taken to hospital for checks after suffering the effects from the gas leak.

"Crews used monitoring equipment, checked gas supplies and continued to ventilated the property.

"The incident was handed over to SGN who isolated the gas to the property and carried out further checks."
