A man and woman have been arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs in Bournemouth.

At around 3.05pm last Thursday (20 April), officers attended the Zig Zag on East Overcliff following reports of possible drugs offences in the area.

It's reported that two people were seen acting suspiciously and they were detained for a search.

A quantity of suspected drugs was seized, as well as a mobile phone and cash.

A 36-year-old woman and a 46-year-old man – both from Bournemouth – were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug and released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Police Constable Jon Bedwell, of the BCP Neighbourhood Enforcement Team (NET), said: “We are committed to taking action against those believed to be involved in supplying class A drugs in our communities.

“As part of Operation Viper, we are continuing our proactive efforts to make Dorset a hostile place to operate for those suspected to be dealing drugs and we will continue to respond to reported activity in our area."
